Thomas M. Kelley Senior Vice President, Marketing

Mr. Kelley is senior vice president, Marketing of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. He is also a member of the American Petroleum Institute, where he serves on the marketing subcommittee. He currently serves as chair for Toledo Classic, Inc., which organizes and operates the Marathon Classic, an LPGA tour event.
Mr. Kelley joined Marathon in 1981, as a marketing associate, and went on to hold several positions in the Marathon Brand and Wholesale Marketing organizations. In 1988, Mr. Kelley served as a crude oil representative and in 1990, returned to Marketing as a brand district sales manager. In 1993, Mr. Kelley began a series of assignments of increasing responsibility in the Marketing and Supply, Distribution and Planning organizations. He was named manager, Wholesale Marketing in conjunction with the formation of Marathon Ashland Petroleum1 in 1998, and two years later, manager, Brand Marketing. In 2008, Mr. Kelley assumed responsibilities as director, Crude Supply and Logistics and in 2010, was named senior vice president, Marketing.
Mr. Kelley graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Indiana State University in 1981. He attended the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School Advanced Management Program in 2002 and the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies in 2008.
